Demopolis, Gaineswood Plantation

As beautiful as it is haunted, Gaineswood Plantation was built in the mid 1800s. Its halls are said to be haunted by the ghost of a former housekeeper named Evelyn who liked to play melancholic piano music. Empty rooms and the piano, which people say Evelyn loved in life, are known to cause visitors to get a sudden chill or hear whispers.
